Earlier this term we did folk tale plays and the one I was in is called “Red Riding Hood and the Three Bears.” There were four people in my group and the character I was, was the wolf!!! We practised together often for a few days. In the meantime we made masks to go with our characters. I brought some clothes to dress up in and it was so much fun when we shared our play with the class.  

My Haiku Poem

Slimy sticky tongue       

Tiny yellow speckled frog 

Jumping everywhere.

This term in Room 6, we were learning about New Zealand frogs. The class was given a choice to either make an origami frog or draw a picture of a frog. I drew an Archey’s frog.

We celebrated Ascension Day yesterday and it is the day that Jesus went back to God in heaven. It is a special day for all of us because we know he is safe with his father and always with us, because that is what he promised. His friends the disciples were sad to lose their friend but they knew that had lots of work to do to tell people about Jesus.

 First we got the print of the poppy.  Next we got red see through paper and the print was sticky so we put the see through paper on the sticky part of the poppy. Next we cut  one clear circle and we put it in the middle of the poppy. Finally we put the poppy on the window and coloured the middle part black. I liked creating my ANZAC poppy and it shines brightly on a sunny day. Lest We Forget.
